Cosmetic tube packaging prepress design considerations
There are many noteworthy details in the prepress design process for flexible packaging. We will focus on the minor text and line design considerations here.
(1) Small text and lines should be designed as a single package to avoid inaccurate multicolor printing. The width of the thin line must not be less than 0.1mm, otherwise
it is easy to lose or unclear in the printing. The net height of the Chinese font is not less than 1.8mm, and the net height of the English font is not less than 1.5mm.
(2) Anti-white text should pay special attention to the design, if the text is small, especially when the stroke is fine, use monochrome. The choice of font should also be
noted that round body, black body, and isotonic body are the better choices, and fonts with different strokes, such as Song and Old Times (thick and vertical), should be
used with caution when designing. With this type of font, it is important to note that the net height of Chinese fonts is not less than 2.5 mm, and the net height of
English fonts is not less than 2 mm.
the reason:
(1) The viscosity of the ink after printing is too high compared to the ink printed beforehand.
(2) The first printing ink is slow and has a large amount of ink.
(3) The color intensity balance of the four-color ink is not appropriate.
The
Approach:
(1) Printing with high viscosity inks first, printing with low viscosity inks, and the ideal stickiness requirement should be gradually reduced in the order of
overprinting colors.
(2) Fast and fast ink printing is used, and the high density is printed thinly. The pattern area is small and printed beforehand to facilitate the overprinting.
(3) The color intensity of any set of wet multi-color overprint inks is balanced, and equal amounts of ink can be used for overprinting. If not using the same set of inks
together, it should be handled properly.
Cosmetic plastic tube emerges in cosmetics and pharmaceutical packaging
Plastic tubes are easy to use, economical and hygienic. They have become one of the major packaging products for cosmetics, medicine and food. Since the 1990s, China has
introduced a large number of advanced composite tube production equipment from Europe, the United States, Japan, and Taiwan Province. The development momentum is fierce.
Multilayer, thin-walled and transparent plastic composite tubes are the future development trend.
Whether it is cosmetics, medicine or food, packaging should first consider the health performance, followed by the mechanical strength, barrier properties, printability
and chemical resistance. Of course, economical efficiency and ease of use must also be considered.
Compared with the packaging of other products, cosmetic packaging requires higher water and oxygen barriers. On the one hand, water-containing fats may contain molds and
yeasts, which can cause oxidation of fats, hydrolysis of fats, oxidation to fatty acids and glycerides. Therefore, increasing the moisture in the oil will cause the
hydrolysis of the oil on the one hand, and on the other hand it will accelerate the auto-oxidation reaction, provide a microbiological living environment, and reduce the
activity of certain antioxidants such as polyamines. In addition, some powdery products need to prevent the absorption of water and cause agglomeration, hardening, etc.
Therefore, many cosmetic packagings need to block the entry of moisture; on the other hand, some aqueous products are used to clean the skin, so they must be During the
period of time to maintain a certain moisture content, it must also prevent the water from escaping. Oxygen is the most important factor causing the rancidity of
cosmetics. Most cosmetics contain oils and fats. The unsaturated bond in the oil is easily oxidized and causes deterioration and rancidity. If only a small part of the
unsaturated oil starts to oxidize, it will cause complete rancidity of the oil and thus degrade the quality of the product. Therefore, during the production, storage and
use of cosmetics, every effort should be made to avoid the occurrence of rancidity of oil and prevent the entry of oxygen.
In general, plastic tubes have other advantages that are incomparable to other materials. Therefore, they have emerged in cosmetics and pharmaceutical packaging since
their inception. It is now becoming an indispensable packaging form for cosmetics and medicines.
Plastic tubes can be classified into single-layer tubes and multi-layer tubes according to material classification. Single-layer tubes include metal tubes and plastic
extrusion tubes; multi-layer tubes include aluminum-plastic composite tubes, plastic composite tubes, and plastic coextrusion tubes.
According to the classification of processing technology, plastic tubes can be divided into seamless tubes and seamed tubes.
The development of plastic tubes in China has been rapid, and there have emerged composite tube manufacturers represented by companies such as Shenzhen Petrochemical
Lixing and Shanghai Sanying Packaging Materials Co., Ltd. Among them, Shenzhen Petrochemical Lixing has produced five-layer composite plastic tubes since 1992 and is the
first Chinese manufacturer to produce 5-layer composite tubes.
China's large-scale production of plastic tube manufacturers, the introduction of the Swiss KMK, AISA high-speed pipe making machine; the United States, Japan or Taiwan
Province, flexographic printing presses and gravure printing presses; Germany or Italy co-extruded laminating machine and dry composite Machines; World-class advanced
production equipment such as slitting machines, bag making machines and film blowing machines in Japan, Italy or Taiwan.
Cosmetics and pharmaceuticals are the largest users of plastic tubes and are currently used mainly in the packaging of certain condiments in foods. Applications in other
fields have yet to be expanded.
